The history of Cosearching

The project was born in 2019 at the initiative of Actiris within the framework of the “Maisons de l’emploi” scheme, in collaboration with 3 actors who are experts in collective intelligence: Activ’action, Cocorico-searching and Divers gens. The objective was to develop an innovative method that could counteract the logics of competition and the risks of isolation of job seekers by setting up autonomous self-help groups.

In 2020, Backstage.Network is developing a digital cosearching space on its platform with the aim of encouraging links and mutual support between all Cosearchers: a social network for job seekers is born!

In 2021, Cosearching.brussels is joined by Tracé Brussel and becomes an independent project whose mission is to animate a community of Brussels job seekers.

At the end of 2021, a Cosearching Center is opened in BeCentral to host the self-help community and strengthen the initiatives of its Cosearchers.

In 2022, cosearching will be extended to Namur and Walloon Brabant, thanks to the support of Forem.
